"We grieve for the family of Christine Kenney-O'Rourke on the loss of a beloved wife, sibling, friend, neighbor and community member resulting from a June 11 fatal car crash on North Broadway in Yonkers.
“After a thorough investigation of the incident by the Yonkers Police Department, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office independently reviewed accident reconstruction, vehicle, toxicology and medical reports, as well as video surveillance and interviews with the driver of the vehicle and witnesses to determine if there was legally sufficient evidence to support any criminal charges.
“Last week, prosecutors informed the victim’s family that the D.A.’s Office was in agreement with Yonkers police that all of the evidence indicates that this was a terribly tragic accident, and not a criminal act.
“We understand this outcome is extremely difficult to accept while processing profound loss. Our hearts go out to everyone who knew Mrs. Kenney-O'Rourke.”
