WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced today that a 41-year-old Valhalla man was indicted on several charges after the senseless killing of a small, Shih Tzu dog. This random act of violence occurred late last year in Greenburgh.

Cory Eulin was arraigned in Westchester County Court yesterday by County Court Judge Melissa Loehr following an indictment by a Westchester County Grand Jury for Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, a felony. Eulin was also charged with Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals, Attempted Assault in the Third Degree, Menacing in the Third Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree.

On Dec. 19, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m., while in the area of Manhattan Ave. and Beech St. in the Town of Greenburgh, Eulin is accused of grabbing a small dog by the neck and throwing it into the street with force, causing it to slam its head into the cement and suffer a fatal injury.

When the dog’s owner confronted Eulin for killing his dog, Eulin allegedly attempted to assault the owner.

DA Cacace said: “What Mr. Eulin is alleged to have done here is unconscionable. There is no place in society for such brutal acts of violence against our beloved pets. The Westchester County DA’s Office will continue to exhaust all of our resources to fight against cruelty to animals.”

DA Cacace commends the swift police work of the Greenburgh Police Department.

The case, which was adjourned until April 30,  is being prosecuted by Animal Cruelty Coordinator Mary Ann Liebowitz. The defendant remains released on his own recognizance.
